Does the recycled cashmere itch on the forehead?
No. The fibers are sorted and spun in Prato like any others, and the knit stays soft against the skin.
Does it last as long as virgin cashmere?
It lasts, but it pills a little sooner. Reclaimed fiber has already been spun once, so it is shorter than new fiber, and short fibers work their way to the surface faster. A cashmere comb lifts the pills off, and with the right care the hat stays good for years.
Does one size really fit everyone?
The cable knit is elastic and gives where it needs to, so it fits a range of head sizes. Laid flat it measures 8.25" × 9" (21 × 23 cm).
Is there anything to pay when it arrives?
No. The price includes duties, taxes, and shipping, and we ship as the importer of record, so there is nothing to pay the carrier on delivery. It ships from Italy by UPS Express, 3–5 business days.
What if I need to send it back?
Free returns within 30 days, with a prepaid UPS label. One free return per order; any further return shipping is deducted from the refund. Orders placed in November and December can be returned through January 31.

A beanie worked in cables: the twisted stitch gives the knit structure and holds warmth a little better than a flat knit does. The cables run up from the brim and give the hat its shape. In red, with a navy duffle coat.

Hand wash cold, or use the wool or delicate cycle. Don't wring it: press the water out with a towel and dry flat, away from direct heat and sun. A cashmere comb lifts off any pills that form.
